Method
- Prep the wings: Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels, removing as much surface moisture as possible to help them crisp in the air fryer.
- Season: In a large bowl, whisk together the 3 Tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Add the wings and toss until they are evenly coated on all sides.
- Preheat: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2 minutes.
- Air fry: Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece. Cook for 24–25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cook time.
- Check doneness: Wings are done when the skin is browned and crispy and the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
- Serve: Serve immediately as is, or toss the hot wings in your favorite sauce. Add celery and carrot sticks and dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
Extra crispy tip: Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches for the crispiest results.
Spice it up: Add a pinch of cayenne or chili powder to the seasoning mix if you like your wings spicy.
